At their October educational conference in San Diego the Institute of Real Estate Management named Marjean Pountain the Vice President of Region 9. She will be responsible for acting as liason with the national IREM office for chapters in the states of Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has Property Management as one of its degree programs at the university. There is an advisory committee established to work with the faculty and students to review curriculum and programs. The committee is made up of experienced property management professionals who are committed to providing the resources and assistance to benefit the college program.
