It was one of the coldest days of the year on January 15th, but over 400 hardy souls came to Milwaukee’s Italian Community Center to attend the IREM Forecast Breakfast where Marjean Pountain was one of the panelists, speaking on the residential condominium and multifamily apartment market, giving the year in review as well as a forecast of what is anticipated in the year ahead. Marjean was the most upbeat of the panelists, in that the residential market has not suffered economic impact as greatly as the office, retail and industrial markets about which the other panelists spoke. The Milwaukee Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) will be holding its annual Forecast Breakfast this coming Thursday, January 15, 2009, at the Italian Community Center. Attendance at this event, the foremost information sharing event of the metro Milwaukee real estate community averages 500+ of the top real estate gurus in the Milwaukee market place. Marjean Pountain, CPM, will be the panelist discussing the residential/condominium/multi-family market conditions that occured in 2008. Marjean will also be describing new projects coming on the horizon in 2009, and projecting what we will be experiencing in the development and management world of real estate in this new year. The Milwaukee Metro Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 11:30 a.m., at the Harley-Davidson Museum Hotel, which is located at 600 West Canal Street in Milwaukee.
Marjean Pountain will be sharing her expertise and recent extensive research in the Milwaukee apartment and condominium market with the group of about 50 Realtors, particularly as to its impact on residential sales during the current economic downturn.
