UW-Stout adds Pountain to Property Management Advisory Committee

The University of Wisconsin-Stout has Property Management as one of its degree programs at the university. There is an advisory committee established to work with the faculty and students to review curriculum and programs. The committee is made up of experienced property management professionals who are committed to providing the resources and assistance to benefit the college program. Marjean Pountain has been asked to join the committee and is honored to accept the assignment. Pountain attends IREM Strategic Planning Retreat in Chicago

Marjean Pountain reports as follows: “My weekend experience at the IREM strategic planning retreat in Chicago was an invigorating experience; I’m still abuzz from all the brainstorming with the top real estate management professionals in the country. We accomplished much which the IREM management team will implement to benefit members this coming year. As chair of the national IREM Ethics Committee in 2011 I had the honor of being invited to participate in this awesome process.”
The Friends of the Broughton Sheboygan Marsh, Inc. held their annual meeting on January 13, 2011, electing officers and directors for the coming year. Marjean Pountain was elected Secretary of the non-profit organization that works to promote use and appreciation of the Sheboygan Marsh Park, particularly the newly constructed observation tower which is the tallest wooden tower in the State of Wisconsin. Marjean Pountain featured speaker at Plymouth WI Rotary Club Today

Marjean Pountain of Pountain Partners LLC was the featured speaker at the Plymouth, Wisconsin Rotary Club luncheon held today at the Mill Street Grill. Marjean gave an interesting report on how she went through the processes of starting her own consulting business, and described some of her more interesting projects to date. It was a lively discussion with the club members joining in to ask questions and pick Pountain’s brain on various real estate related matters. Marjean Pountain has been asked to be a guest speaker once eash semester since 2009 to talk about real life experiences in the field of property management, offer advice on best ways to go about seeking a career in the industry, and talk one-on-one with the students to answer questions and let them pick her brain about the world of property management. Marjean enjoys mentoring and is happy to share her knowledge and experience with the eager young students who appreciate her insight and honest answers to their questions and concerns.
